The opera

On Friday, January 30, we were able to go to an opera with 10 other senior missionaries. We saw Puccini's Teradot. It was sung in Latin and there were Bulgarian subtitles. Luckily, we were prepare and had read the story before we went so we knew what was going on. We got home late, but it was a fun night.

We barely made it there before they closed the door, so we didn't get any pictures of the group or anything. Here's a picture of the opera house in Sofia that I found online.

About this blog...

As most of you know, Charles and Carol Jewell are on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. They received their call in August of 2007 to serve in the Bulgaria Sofia Mission. They set off on their journey from home in San Antonio, TX to the Missionary Training Center (MTC) in Provo, UT before Christmas of 2007 stopping to visit Heather (Midland, TX), Chuck (Amarillo, TX) and Kathi (Broomfield, CO) on the way. Charles and Carol arrived at the MTC on January 7, 2008 and were there training for 11 days before traveling on to Sofia, Bulgaria. This blog is so that all of you can see how they are doing! Hope you enjoy the updates...
