Concert--Branch Activity

The musicians are the three on the left with flowers.

This is the scroll of the cello. Or is it called a scroll when it's actual an animals head? Pretty cool, eh?

There was a trio of musicians who asked if they could come play for our branch just so they would have an audience to play for. So we made a branch activity out of it. It was a very enjoyable evening with talented musicians.

The cello was from the 17th century. Evidently, cellos didn't have a tail spike (foot) back then, so the cellist had to hold the cello up with her legs. The cellist was the leader of the group. The guitar had 6 strings. There was also a recorder/flute player.

And here are three short videos of our night of music.

About this blog...

As most of you know, Charles and Carol Jewell are on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. They received their call in August of 2007 to serve in the Bulgaria Sofia Mission. They set off on their journey from home in San Antonio, TX to the Missionary Training Center (MTC) in Provo, UT before Christmas of 2007 stopping to visit Heather (Midland, TX), Chuck (Amarillo, TX) and Kathi (Broomfield, CO) on the way. Charles and Carol arrived at the MTC on January 7, 2008 and were there training for 11 days before traveling on to Sofia, Bulgaria. This blog is so that all of you can see how they are doing! Hope you enjoy the updates...
