At the airport/arriving home

Our flight arrived in San Antonio at 9:20 pm (15-20 minutes early), just under 21 hours after departing from Sofia.

Here we are coming down the escalator. Yes, Charles is taking pictures.

With our son-in-law, Matt.

Guarding the luggage

We got to meet Benjamin, one of the two babies who were born while we were gone.

Charles doesn't like babies before they're 2 years old. Riiiigghhttt.
We're glad to be home! Now we're dealing with the post-mission stuff (Doctors and dentist appointments, being released, etc.)

About this blog...

As most of you know, Charles and Carol Jewell are on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. They received their call in August of 2007 to serve in the Bulgaria Sofia Mission. They set off on their journey from home in San Antonio, TX to the Missionary Training Center (MTC) in Provo, UT before Christmas of 2007 stopping to visit Heather (Midland, TX), Chuck (Amarillo, TX) and Kathi (Broomfield, CO) on the way. Charles and Carol arrived at the MTC on January 7, 2008 and were there training for 11 days before traveling on to Sofia, Bulgaria. This blog is so that all of you can see how they are doing! Hope you enjoy the updates...
