Update from Kathi
Mom and Dad successfully made it to Washington D.C. and U.S. soil today about 2.5 hours ago. It took them over an hour to get through customs and then they quickly called all of us kids and Granny (my mom's mom) on Skype at the airport. They sounded very tired. I'm sure they're getting something to eat and then they'll get on their final flight segment that will take them to San Antonio. When it's all said and done, their trip will have taken 21 hours (assuming this flight to San Antonio is on time).

About this blog...
As most of you know, Charles and Carol Jewell are on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. They received their call in August of 2007 to serve in the Bulgaria Sofia Mission. They set off on their journey from home in San Antonio, TX to the Missionary Training Center (MTC) in Provo, UT before Christmas of 2007 stopping to visit Heather (Midland, TX), Chuck (Amarillo, TX) and Kathi (Broomfield, CO) on the way. Charles and Carol arrived at the MTC on January 7, 2008 and were there training for 11 days before traveling on to Sofia, Bulgaria. This blog is so that all of you can see how they are doing! Hope you enjoy the updates...
